The PUD is the basic and very general zoning that governs the project. It sets forth the maximum amount of commercial space and residential development that can occur in the project, as well as establishes the uses allowed and maximum amounts of space within particular districts, or land use areas. For over two years, changes to the current PUD have been contemplated. These proposed changes have been filed with the City of Austin after several public discussions.

The Mueller town center district will be a new urban neighborhood that brings people together to live, work and play in the heart of Mueller. The lively streets of the town center district will feature a diverse mix of high-quality national, regional and local retail, restaurant and entertainment options. The town center district will also be home to more than one third of Mueller’s residents and to hundreds of jobs as the hub of the Mueller employment centers.
