The Thrash Group, developers of the upcoming Origin Hotel, anticipate breaking ground on the five-story, 120-room boutique hotel designed by Lake|Flato architects in early-July. Origin at Mueller will feature a collection of comfortable and well-appointed rooms and suites that feature local funky-flair and color. Some rooms will feature bunk beds with capacity to sleep six, kitchenettes, and a terrace suite with large balcony and firepit. The hotel will also offer a gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, the option of an in-room prAna yoga kit, and a guide to local experiences.

The park currently under construction along Mueller’s Philomena Street, bordered by Eberly and Robert Browning streets, has an official name. The new park will be called Jessie Andrews Park, named after the first woman to graduate and the first woman to teach at the University of Texas at Austin.

Both the Cinema and the Diamond buildings along Aldrich Street have earned high ratings from the Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB) program. The Cinema Building earned three stars, while the finish out of the Alamo Drafthouse building earned four stars. The Diamond Building also earned four stars through the program.

The new Austin Energy headquarters is scheduled to break ground this summer along Mueller Boulevard between Philomena and Garcia streets, on the same block as Texas Mutual Insurance. Austin Energy anticipates moving in by Q2 2021, weather permitting.
The four-story building will feature approximately 275,000 sf of office space to accommodate approximately 900 to 1,100 employees.
