Wildflower Terrace Celebrates Opening in Grand Style

Wildflower Terrace, Mueller’s newest residential community serving active adults age 55 or older, officially opened its doors May 1st with the help of a few friends and neighbors.

The event included remarks from City of Austin Councilmember Mike Martinez, Diana McIver, president of the DMA Companies, Greg Weaver, executive vice president of Catellus Development, State Representative Dawnna Dukes and Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Board Member Lowell Keig. More than 100 attendees joined the celebration of the highly anticipated development, which welcomed its first residents earlier this year.

Located at Berkman Drive and Tom Miller Street, the predominately affordable-qualifying senior community offers approximately 200 fully accessible rental units. Complete with amenities common to senior communities, such as fitness centers, activity rooms and libraries, Wildflower Terrace also includes an artist studio along with a coffee shop and art gallery. Additionally, the development features several live/work spaces for entrepreneurial seniors who are not yet ready for retirement.
