Wildflower Terrace

Wildflower Terrace, a predominately affordable-qualifying senior community, offers approximately 200 fully accessible rental units located at Berkman Drive and Tom Miller Street, just south of the former Mueller airport control tower and adjacent to the natural setting of Mueller’s Southwest Greenway.
In addition to the many amenities common to senior communities, such as fitness centers, activity rooms and libraries, the senior community at Mueller includes an artist studio along with a coffee shop and art gallery. Additionally, the development features several live/work spaces for entrepreneurial seniors such as accountants, artists and consultants, who are not yet ready for retirement.
As part of the Mueller Affordable Homes Program, the four-story, mixed-income community will primarily serve active adults age 55 or older who earn 60 percent or below the Austin Median Family Income (MFI). Some units will also be reserved for seniors with less income. Catellus and its development partners continue to explore ways to facilitate more, longer-term affordability well beyond the five to 15 years other affordable multi-family projects often require.

Mosaic - Phase II
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
In early 2012, Simmons Vedder & Company broke ground on Mueller’s newest apartments adjacent to the future town center. The project will be four stories tall and offer one-, two- and three-bedroom residences and five two-story live-work units. The 301 apartment homes will be located a block north of Mosaic at Mueller, Simmons Vedder’s first apartment complex at Mueller located at Aldrich and Ragsdale streets.
Totaling more than 275,000 square feet, the community will feature two courtyards, an amenities center and a pool. Individual residences will offer 10-foot ceilings, granite countertops, wood floors and stainless steel appliances.
Ten percent of the rental residences will be a part of the Mueller Affordable Homes Program reserved for families making 60 percent or less of Austin’s median family income. The project will achieve at least a two-star rating under Austin Energy’s Green Building program and is expected to be complete in 2013.
